DESCRIPTION: This document descibes the Auriga HL7 library which implements HL7 structures of the version 2.x (version 2.4 by default, please see www.hl7.org). The library uses C++ 0x standards; the compiller should support them to use this library. The howto section is placed in the end of this document. The library provides implementation of the following features: - HL7 Structures of the version 2.x (2.4 by default) - Conversion the HL7 stuctures to the HL7 string (pipe). - Conversion a pipe string into HL7 structure. - Encoding / decoding / validating HL7 types - MLLP HL7 protocol support The source code of the library has the following structures: `-- src |-- 2.4 | |-- datatype | |-- message | |-- segment | `-- WIN |-- common |-- test |-- examples `-- thirdparty - src - this is the top directory. - 2.4 - this directory contains descriptio of the HL7 structures of the 2.4 version. - datatype - HL7 data types - mesage - HL7 messages - segment - HL7 segments - 2.4 / WIN - static library project for Windows - common - it contains common code: base classes and utils that are not used thirdparty code base. - test - source code of the tests. tests - tests for core objects socket_test - tests for HL7Socket, HL7SocketServer and HL7MLLP objects verify_test - tests for HL7 data verification functions WIN - tests compilation solution for Windows - examples - source code of the examples hello - core functions example client - HL7MLLP client example with validation and encoding server - HL7SocketServer example with validation and encoding WIN - examples compilation solution for Windows - thirdparty - thirdparty code. The source code is provided as an Eclipse and MS VS 2013 projects which inclde these directories. The projects run test applications. <<<<<<< HEAD COMPILATION Windows: To compile examples, you can use solution file in examples/WIN directory. To compile tests, you can use solution file in tests/WIN directory. To compile SDK library, add static library project from 2.4/WIN directory to your solution. If you use HL7MLLP object, you should place include hl7mllp.h header first. HOWTO: The following examle shows how to use the library. <EXAMPLE START> // The example uses the ORU_R01 message. #include "2.4/message/ORU_R01.h" // Any object of the hl7 library can be serialized. // This header file includes the necessary functionality. #include "common/ObjToPipe.h" // For std::cout and std::endl #include <iostream> int main() { // The library is placed in the HL7_24 namespace. HL7_24::ORU_R01 msg; // Get information about object // The output will be : // > ORU_R01 std::cout << msg.className() << std::endl; // By defauld the message structure has no information: // The output will be : // > 0 std::cout << msg.getMSH_1() << std::endl; // Using a getter method try to find its name: // The output will be : // > MSH HL7_24::MSH p_msh_1 = msg.getMSH_1(); std::cout <<p_msh_1->className() << std::endl; // The MSH structure is a segment structure that has sub-structures. // The output will be : // > 1 std::cout << p_msh_1->isSegment() << std::endl; // A segment structure can have any data only another structures: // The output will be : // > HL7Object::setData: Invalid object type. try { p_msh_1->setData("Set data"); } catch (HL7Exception& e) { std::cout << e.what() << std::endl; } // The first element of the MSH structure is ST datalement: // The output will be : // > ST std::cout << p_msh_1->getObjectSafe(0, 0)->className() << std::endl; // It is a datalement: // The output will be : // > ST // > 1 std::cout << p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->className() << std::endl; std::cout << p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->isDataElement() << std::endl; // A dataelement may store an information string: // The output will be : // > This is data. p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->setData("This is data."); std::cout << p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->getData() << std::endl; // Another way to load information into a message structure is to use the // pipeToMsg function. The loaded data will be lost: // The output will be : // > | // > ^~\& std::string pipe_string = "MSH|^~\\&|GHH LAB|ELAB-3|GHH OE|BLDG4|200202150930||ORU^R01|CNTRL-3456|P|2.4"; pipeToMsg(&msg, pipe_string); std::cout << p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->getData() << std::endl; std::cout << p_msh_1->getMSH_2()->getData() << std::endl; // Loaded data may be corrected: // The output will be : // > I want my data back! p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->setData("I want my data back!"); std::cout << p_msh_1->getMSH_1()->getData() << std::endl; // What about pipe string? The MSH_1 has to have only the segment delimeter // symbol: '|'. It is a special case. // The output will be : // > MSH|^~\&|GHH LAB|ELAB-3|GHH OE|BLDG4|200202150930||ORU^R01|CNTRL-3456|P|2.4 pipe_string.clear(); msgToPipe(&msg, pipe_string); std::cout << pipe_string << std::endl; // Correct another field of the message: // The output will be : // > MSH|^~\&|GHH LAB|ELAB-3|GHH OE|BLDG4|200202150930|my data string|ORU^R01|CNTRL-3456|P|2.4 p_msh_1->getMSH_8()->setData("my data string"); msgToPipe(&msg, pipe_string); std::cout << pipe_string << std::endl; return 0; } ======= Please see HOWTO file for build inctructions and example usage. >>>>>>> 86efb578e4e6acc3f4577fb86d1ada9b1ce6bf2b
